Operating costs are extremely low. The house is well built and extremely energy efficient (heating costs are approx. EUR 500/year).

The owners have not used the radiator heating, which is throughout the house due to the fireplace option, for several years. The house is spacious and open, making living in it extremely pleasant and warm.
The water is heated by a heat pump, and there is also the option of heating with a 20 kW Wahler wood-burning stove. All roof finishing work and gutters are made of copper. The house has two chimneys, which are intentionally pipe chimneys for earthquake safety. The house also has an EV charger and the possibility of connecting a generator for electricity for the entire house or reverse power supply from a car. Everything is designed so that the house can be self-sufficient in the most extreme case.
Internet and television are via Telemach, and there is also the option of fiber optic internet, which is available next to the house. Cables are routed to almost all rooms in the house.
